How do I order 10, for example, of the same item with different engraving on each?
Just treat them as if they were different products. For example, enter the engraving for the first item and click the 'buy' button to place this item in the shopping cart. Then click 'back' on the browser and enter the engraving for the second item and click 'buy' again to place the second item in the shopping cart. You can repeat this method until all have been placed in the cart. Once you're done with all, go to checkout.

Do I need to place separate orders for different engravings?
No, see the question immediately above. You only need to place separate orders if you either want two items to be billed to different credit cards or they are shipping to separate addresses.

Multiple Addresses: How do I submit multiple products/orders to be shipped to separate addresses?
You will have to place each order separately for simplicity. However, our system makes this fairly easy since it will save your billing details (except for credit card number). Below are detailed directions:

  1. Add the first item to your shopping cart (be sure to fill out gift cards, engraving, etc when placing item in your shopping cart)
  2. Click on 'checkout' button and fill out your billing and shipping details. The shipping details should be the address of the "first" person you'd like the product in the shopping cart to be delivered to.
  3. Click on 'verify info - next>' button and check the order for correctness.
  4. Click 'Submit Order' button at the bottom of the page. You will get an order number and an email confirmation will be sent to you.
  5. To ship a second product (different or identical) to a second address, simply start over by placing it in the shopping cart just like in step #1.
    • Tip: If it's the same product, you can simply click on the product link on the order receipt.
  6. Click on 'checkout' and you will see that the billing details are still there except for your credit card number. Simply fill out the credit card and enter the second shipping address.
  7. Continue with your second order by following step 3 and 4.
  8. After you are done with the second order, you are right back on step 5 and you simply add a third product for your third shipping address to your shopping cart. Follow the same steps starting with step #5.
    • Please note, if you abandon the browser for more than 20 minutes your billing details will be erased. As long as you keep surfing Bluechopsticks.com this will not happen.

Alternatively, you can email multiple addresses to customerservice@bluechopsticks.com. Be sure to include the full billing details EXCEPT for the credit card number. All shipping addresses should have a telephone number in case the carrier can't locate the address. A customer service representative will call you back to get your credit card details (or you can call customer service to speed things up).

How do I ship 2 items to 2 different addresses?
You have to place two separate orders. It is relatively easy using the method above. See the question immediately above. The billing details will not be erased and you need not reenter them.

Why did my items disappear from the shopping cart?
Usually it's one of two problems. The first could be that you abandoned your shopping cart for more than 15 mins (for instance, you went out to lunch and came back). The other possibility is that your ISP or company may have blocked access to certain activities or features of your browser. If you suspect the later, you will need to call in your order or use a different computer on a different network (or fix the problem at the current one).

Do you accept mail orders? Do you accept money orders or checks as payment?
Yes, we accept mail orders paid by money order or check. However, check orders will not ship until the check clears. It is preferred that you send in a money order for prompt shipment.

Do you have a printed catalog available?
Unfortunately, we do not. All product information is only online at this time.

Can I request a specific delivery time (time of the day)?
Delivery times (actual time of the day, ex: 3 PM) are based upon the courier's scheduled routes. We are not able to specify or guarantee a delivery day drop-off time.

Credit Card Information

For your protection, we permanently delete your credit card number from our server once your order is completed and closed. After deletion from our server, only the last 4 digits of your credit card number is left for identification purposes. You may be assured that NO record of your credit card number is permanently stored in any form including off-line! Shipping & sales tax

We process all orders promptly upon receipt. Listed in the chart shown below are our shipping charges. Please note that we charge the actual shipping costs on orders without premiums. You will receive an email notification with a tracking number if you elect the express delivery option (other tracking numbers available on request). Please note that it might take longer during peak seasons to process and ship the orders. In the event that an item is out of stock, or requires a longer lead time, you will receive an email notification from BlueChopsticks informing you about the delay.

Ground Shipping takes 2-7 business days IN ADDITION to the time it takes to physically package and ship your order (hand over to the carrier). 3rd Day Shipping takes 3 full business days to arrive after shipment. 2nd Day Shipping takes 2 full business days to arrive after shipment. Overnight Shipments will arrive the next business day. Business days do NOT include saturdays, sundays, or holidays. No shipments are made saturdays or sundays. Saturday delivery is available on certain items at extra charge and on special requests only (contact a representative to see if it's available).

Hospitals & Hotels - We recommend that you choose 2nd day or Overnight for deliveries to hospitals and/or hotels to ensure that your package arrives before the recipient checks out. We guarantee delivery to the hospital and/or hotel's receiving department or desk. It is up to their receiving department to deliver this package to the specific individual within their facility.

'Ships in :' field next to each product is the time to physically package and submit the package over to the carrier. It does not include the actual travel time it takes to get to your door. The travel time is dependent on several factors such as the distance between you and the warehouse and/or the shipping method you selected i.e. ground, 2nd day, overnight

Customers in Hawaii (HI), Puerto Rico, and Alaska (AK) must choose either UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air service since UPS Ground service is not available to these areas. All orders submitted with Ground Shipping to these areas will be automatically upgraded to 2nd Day Air at extra charge.  NOTE: We do not ship to Post Office boxes and all items shipped may require an adult signature for delivery.  

Shipping information for perishble items (cakes, cookies, flowers, etc)
Perishable items, such as but not limited to cheesecakes, cookies, and flowers, automatically ship with a signature release. In the event that the driver for the carrier does not feel comfortable leaving the package, they will attempt delivery the next business day and leave a note for the recipient. We strongly advise that you send the gifts to an address where the recipient will be available to receive the package. For delivery to apartment complexes, see the following:

Do you deliver to Apartment Buildings?
Yes. When placing your order, be sure the apartment number is included in the address. Any omissions or errors may delay delivery a minimum of one additional business day. As most apartment buildings are secured, the delivery person will have to buzz the proper apartment to notify the recipient there is a delivery. The delivery policy to apartment buildings in general is that there must be someone at the apartment to successfully complete delivery.

Canadian Orders:
Canadian Shipments might be subject to Duty, Brokerage, G.S.T., P.S.T. and other import taxes which will be collected by the driver upon delivery. BlueChopsticks has no control over these charges and does not collect them. These charges are based on the value of the product in Canadian dollars and your ship-to destination.

How much Canadian tax will I be charged on my order?
The tax rate applied depends on your ship-to destination. Please refer to the following chart to determine the relevant rate for you (NOTE: The tax rate may change without notice).

Sales Tax

In accordance with applicable state law, a sales tax of 8.21 % is added to all orders shipped to California addresses. Sales tax is not collected on all shipments to recipients outside of California.

Multiple Shipments

Depending on what you order, we may ship from multiple warehouses. Shipping lead times and transit times will differ depending on where it ships from and the destination. If that is the case, we will email you multiple tracking numbers so you can track the various packages.

Address Corrections

Please ensure that the delivery address you provide is correct for the recipient. Major carriers such as UPS and FedEx impose address correction fees ($12-15) if the recipient's address you've provided is not correct (ex: recipient moved). An address correction fee of $12.50 is billed to your card in these circumstances. Please verify the recipient's address before placing your order.

Items with FREE Shipping

Select items have Free shipping as noted on the product page. Shipping fees are waived on these marked items except where items are returned for refunds or credits. All items returned for credit or refunds are credited for the item's original price minus any discounts and shipping costs for transit to the customer. The shipping fee is waived provided the customer keeps the item and does not return it.

How to return, replace or exchange an item

If you'd like to return a product, please contact a customer service representative first to get return authorization. Items must be in original resalable condition.

You have the following choices when you decide to return any shipment:
Refund - total refund minus any shipping costs (Prorated refund for shipping charges if an item is broken or damaged.). Please allow 3 working days for processing
Replacement - we will ship the replacement within 3 working days.
Credit - we will issue you a gift certificate for the amount, and you'll be able to redeem it at any time.

We are unable to offer you any form of refund after 30 days.

Damaged Items

If any item arrived damaged, you must hold onto the package as is and contact one of our customer service representatives immediately. Our customer service representative will notify the carrier and follow their procedures to claim damage insurance automatically applied to every shipment on certain carriers like UPS and FedEx. It is your responsibility to make sure you hold onto any damaged items long enough should the carrier wish to inspect the damage. If you elected a carrier that does not offer any damage compensation (including lost package), you will not be eligible for any claims. Therefore, it is encouraged that you pay a little extra for this type of insurance in case this situation arises.

If the carrier issues a refund, you will be credited for the purchase. However, the carrier must approve and issue any refunds before a replacement or credit can be issued to you. They may or may not require a visual verification of damaged goods as per their policy.

Where to return, replace or exchange an item

Please contact customer service to obtain a return address for the items ordered. Please note that you'll be responsible for the payment of shipping and insurance of the returned items.

Returns of 'Quantity/Volume Pricing' Items or any other Special Order Terms

Items ordered with any special terms and/or conditions, such as but not limited to items ordered at quantity pricing, volume orders, etc., incur a restocking fee of 20%. Shipping charges are not refunded. Restocking fee does NOT apply to retail orders at normal retail pricing including items on sale and/or clearance.

Engraved item return policy

Changes cannot be made on engraving once the order has been submitted. Furthermore, candles will ship separately from other non-candle engravable items.

Engraved items cannot be returned or exchanged. Any damages or defects on engravable items must be reported within 7 business days of the delivery date for replacement. To report damaged or defected engraved items, please call Bluechopsticks.com customer service at 1-800-933-7730.

NOTE: It is recommended that you place any engravable orders at least 3 weeks in advanced to avoid expedited shipping charges.
